The road goes on forever and the party never ends. When the Stigmata was resurrected in 2015, we fused a number of MTB standards and design features to create our spin on the modern CX bike. Something must have clicked, because, within months of launch, it raced to victory at the legendary Three Peaks and has continued to contend at elite cyclocross races around the world. Nowadays, the internally routed disc brakes, generous tire clearance, and thru-axle approach that made the Stigmata famous have become more of a norm, so we took a fresh look at which standards the riders of tomorrow wanted access to today. Threaded bottom brackets remain a perennial favorite across our entire line thanks to their proven robust, cost-effective, and compatible design. "If it ain't broke…" ...and it never is. Fender mounts add a bit of CYA and highlight the Stigmata's ever-widening scope of purpose. We added to that with three bottle cage mounts so that the frame can still hold at least one normal bottle even when running a front triangle bag. Deeper adventures and bigger tires, perhaps? The frame now clears up to a 45mm 700c or a 2.1" 650B tire. Marry the latter to our Force/X01 AXS mashup kit, and you've got yourself the kind of drop-bar singletrack and gravel rallycat we can all get onboard with. And, when it comes to good old-fashioned off-road etiquette, the Stigmata's had some coaching at the Highball school of stiffness, handling, and offroad feel. The carbon layup borrows knowledge gained from not just the Highball, but also Danny MacAskill's trials bike, to produce a ride so law-abiding you'd think HR had sent it on a compliance training course. Geometry plays a big part here, too, so we've made tweaks to improve handling for smaller riders and reduce toe overlap. The reworking of the 52/54cm frames means the Stigmata now comfortably suits riders from 5'3" and up. Meanwhile, different fork offsets (50mm for the 52-54cm sizes, and 45mm for the 56-61cm sizes) help ensure your little piggies don't go to market on the front wheel. Topped off with tidy details like 12mm front axle, flat mount brakes, and build-specific Reserve wheel packages, the Stigmata is designed to let you decide whatever the heck you want this category to be.

Caledonia doesn't fit in a box nicely, and we like it that way. It was conceived on our Thursday night rides—routes that often play fast and loose with 'road ride.' Modern road riders are looking for bikes to handle long-distance, high pace, no limits, and offer maximum fun—the Caledonia delivers performance, comfort, and speed. Based around an adaptable steel frame, our Arise range is ready to follow whatever road you point it down. A simple, versatile bike, our Arise uses a single-speed drivetrain so you can focus on riding, not maintenance. The fast wheels, wide tires, and flared bars mean there’s not much this bike cannot handle, from trails to commuting. Infinitely adaptable with fittings for mudguards and a rack, and you even have the option of converting the frame and hub to run an 11-speed drivetrain.

The latest addition to the Bombtrack fleet arrives in the form of the Arise SG. New for 2022, this bike is fitted with dropbars to give you a racier feel over its flatbar brethren, the Arise Geared. A Microshift Advent X clutched rear derailleur and 1x drive train keep everything stable while giving you that extra cog in the rear. Size-matched wheels ensure the perfect fit, coming fitted with 650B wheels for sizes XS and S or 700C for M and above. Sticking true to its racier nature, the Arise SG is equipped with WTB tubeless-ready wheels that are good to go if you decide to pin on a race number, whilst internal light cable routing in the fork retains the bike's versatility. Built with fast wheels, broad tires, and flared bars it's happy over multiple surfaces and ready to take on anything from commuting to touring.

For a bicycle that’s both accomplished and ambitious, look no further than the Arise SG Apex. Leveling up on the Arise SG’s capabilities, this bike comes fitted with Sram Apex 1x11 drop-bar dual control levers and a clutched rear derailleur with a generous 11-speed 11 – 42T cassette. Internal light cable routing, along with frame and fork rack and fender mounts, equips the Arise SG Apex to take you far beyond the horizon. WTB ST tubeless-ready rims complete the build with durable, reliable hoops that are size-matched across the range to ensure a proper fit without compromising geometry. A narrow-wide chainring and 11-speed gearing tailor it to its intended purpose; riding fast on unpaved roads.

A modern twist on an age-old discipline, the Audax AL is an accomplished bicycle. Wide, generous tires confidently roll over any surface, guided by a carbon fork to reduce weight with plenty of clearance to accommodate wider treads plus mudguards. Take your pick on how to distribute your cargo with multiple mounting fixings across the frame and fork, as well as options for panniers and bike packing bags. Short chainstays and an engaged front end make for a responsive bike geometry, which feels alert and responsive even when fully loaded. To complete the bike, 650B wheels, a Microshift XLE 11-speed groupset, and a clutch derailleur ensure comfort and reliability wherever you point your nose. Employing short chainstays, it's a bike that's happy to change lanes quickly, but yet remains solidly planted thanks to a larger-than-average contact patch.

With tires as wide as a mountain bike accompanied by a 28 / 40T chainset, this bike will be able to reach wherever you’ve plotted on the map. If the wilderness beckons, the Arise Tour won’t stand in your way with its twin Tubus racks, mudguards and Supernova dynamo lights. Regardless of load, the Ames sub-compact 30 / 46T crankset and generous 11 – 42T cassette mean you’ll always have enough gears to tackle those steeper gradients. For a modern touch, flared bars allow for added packing space as well as sturdier handling while riding on the drops. For touring purists, bar-end shifters give you peace of mind over more complicated combination shifters. The distance-orientated Arise Tour's racks, mudguards, and dynamo lights help to escape far beyond the limits of the city.

This bike will take you further. Designed with the support of our family of field testers, the Beyond 2 is the natural evolution of the Beyond 1. Tried and tested fast-rolling wheels, multiple mounting points, and a range of gears remain. A Supernova dynamo lighting system joins the bike’s features, so you never have to charge your batteries – ideal for excursions that go that little bit further. And at the front, a demi-porteur rack supports more cargo space that doesn’t compromise steering and handling. A new version of our continent-crossing adventure tourer with a specification based on feedback from users in the field.

With the ability to carry serious loads, triple mounts on the forks and three separate bottle cage fixings allow you to carry as much as you need with you. The Hook EXT C comes complete with a carbon frame and V2 carbon fork with triple cage mounts for speedier off-road raids. Sram provides the bike's 10 – 42T XD cassette for a great range of gears, so you can keep the pace high over whichever surface you decide to tear across. Our friends at Hunt handle the hoops, providing the bike with a tubeless-ready Adventure Sport 27.5" wheelset. Finished with head-turning tan-wall WTB Venture tires, onlookers will have to be quick if they want to catch a glimpse as you fly through the undergrowth. It comes in this year's glossy metallic black colorway, too.
