If you're looking to make the move from your trusty backpack, and join the lumbar pack movement, Hot Laps 5L is a great way to do that. It comes with a squat 2L, lumbar-shaped hydration reservoir, and still has plenty of space to stow all the gear you're used to having on hand for your rides. The cargo pocket features organization for a phone, tools, food, and a light shell. Lower straps untuck to hold any bulky knee pads while side compression straps keep the load close as you empty your water, and the breathable AirFlow back panel does away with the hotspots and "pack sweat" you're used to pedaling through.
